Today's candidate for most useful programming aid - _cliptext. This variable (in VFP) points to the clipboard. As the primary part of the work I'm doing is putting together SQL statements programmatically, my code is now littered with lots of "_cliptext=selectstat", so that when it crashes horribly I can simply go to notepad and hit paste to see what stupid mistake I've made this time.

And if that made bugger all sense to you, you're not alone by any means.
