Fire Drills and snow storms
Jan. 25th, 2002 02:26 pmThis morning, it snowed for the first time this year (it snowed a bit in December, but not much). Not massive snow, in a Canadian Blizzard kind of way, but lots of gentle flakes covering everything in sight under a 2 inch blanket of soft whiteness.
This, of course, made it the perfect time for the HR department to call a fire drill.
Thankfully I got 5 minutes warning and dashed off to the canteen, so that when the klaxon sounded, I was just being handed a pair of bacon rolls.
I arrived outside, located my trusty assistant and handed him a roll. To say we were the envy of the shivering snow covered masses would be an understatement...
