Ever gone into a bank branch to ask about getting an unsecured loan?   If you have, you might notice that sometimes they can see you right away and sometimes you'll be asked to make an appointment.

This has nothing to do with how busy the staff are, but -everything- to do with whether the staff are on target for upselling that period and want to move you into the -next- period for their targets...

mm - my brother works (although I'm not sure he still does) in huge personal loans, he completely missed his target for a quarter only to have someone walk in the next day and ask for a loan twice his quarterly target. He had a quiet work with the national manager and got to keep his job..

He never lends me any money.
