The systematic demolition of the Aral Sea is as impressive thing. Not necessarily good, but impressive that man-made construction can, over a few decades, eradicate a body of water that size. What annoys me though, is all the global warming evangelists using the demise of the Aral Sea as a poster-boy. Its vanishing has bugger-all to do with climate change!
