Clever idea but the guy on the mobile isn't in the same position in both 'pictures'

Which 2 pictures are you referring to? It looks well-done to me... I'm thinking 2 photos were taken of the scene at the same time - the one from the viewer's viewpoint, and the other that you can see being taken in the background, and then the photo taken in the background was overlaid on the photo being held in the foreground....

Except that it looks like all 8 people in the image are the same person. The same shoes, pants and red shirt, 2 different jackets... Which means it took a lot more editing/splicing of photos to create the final image.

Well, sure, nobody said it was infinitely recursive ;)

(Or did they? In which case, they may be wrong, but it cannot be proven with the finite amount of information available)
