It will probably happen eventually. We are so used to having free personal banking in this country that we forget it is not the norm in most other countries.

I have a chicken/egg question there. Are the fields that women are going into paying less well, or are the fields paying less because there are more women in them? I'm sure this question is answerable with the right data.

Partially answered in the article; it is a bit of both. There's a lot of chunks of data on it, starting with teaching (which as a profession was male dominated for years) and going into medicine and similar.
