
That is the window in what used to be Scott's room (and before that Ed's room).
You will notice a large down pipe hidden in the fucking wall.
Normally there is a large piece of wood covering that whole area, which is why we had no idea it was there.
You will also notice a join halfway down said pipe.
Guess where the leak is?

Then again I worked (and did some maintenance) in a hotel that had additions over many decades thus had many such idiotically hidden pipes.
