Did you know that Britain will still be paying back it's war-debt to the US intil 2006. That's war debt from 1945. Read about it here.

They lent us 1 billion in 1945, we pay back 3.3 billion over 60 years (if the 2% holds true for the entirety of the loan). I hate to think how much 1 billion was worth in 1945. I think we did well.
