If your front window allows people driving by in cars to see into your house, then you are in a place where it would be hard to maintain an "expectation of privacy" ... now Google "satellite" photos of you sunbathing naked on the roof of your office or in your back garden, that's a different matter!

It's a public street. Not only is there no expectation of privacy in a place where literally anyone can go, Streetview isn't anything that can't be done by any of those "anyones" with a camera in his/her cellphone and a Flickr account.

-- Steve never did get the objection to Streetview; then again, he used a similar site (run by his city hall) when hunting for apartments years ago to see what sort of neighbourhood an ad was really talking about.

Of course since I go up two flights of stairs to get to my flat, and my curtains are permanently closed so I don't have to see young people of ill taste going to the club behind me, if they -were- peeping in my window they'd have an x-ray camera mounted to a flying car.

Which'd also be pretty cool I think!

I looked up the house and neighborhood I was born in and really enjoyed it.
