I continued riffing on this with a friend - we came up with an idea for a sequel which sounds kinda similar to yours...

Of course, now the government want to capture him and use him as a weapon / power source.

The girl, now grown up, comes to rescue HIM. Her mother has died and there's nothing to stop her going in search of her savior.

This time, he falls in love with her - as she is no longer a child.

BUT! HE FORGOT ABOUT HIS RADIOACTIVE SEMEN!

(you may be taking the whole idea more seriously than I am... :D)

The radioactive semen sounds analogous to Superman's ejaculate tearing through Louis Lane's womb because of its super-velocity! (which suggests another super hero, who fights wrongs by masturbating in the direction of his enemies, as a demonstration that I'm not taking this seriously...)

Or, indeed, the conspiracy around Dr Manhattan as a carcinogen.
