And then I remembered that I have about 4 right-wingers on my journal.

I have to say I like Equilibrium but more for Sean B being very entertaining and Sean P character actually being dead at the start of the film rather than his more usual violent exit at some other point.

Oh, it was definitely a fun movie, but not a classic. I chose The Prestige, which was much better constructed.

Well I went with the Machinist because of the "what is going on" factor. I empathise even more with the character due to my recent problems too - the way the mind can work when sleep deprived is strange at times. I know I have had several episodes when awake/asleep is hard to differentiate.

Yup, the machinist worked well. I felt I'd seen the plot elsewhere before, but it was well done, and nicely unpleasant in places.
