Joss Whedon's new show is showing tonight in Americaland.

His last show was cancelled, because none of you watched it when it was shown on TV.  You all waited for the box set instead, and _then_ talked about how great it was.

If you Americans let the same thing happen again then I will not rest until your country is under water.

No excuses!

Hello Friend!!

This American watched every episode live! "Firefly" was amazing and I'm still pissed it is gone. Though yes I do own the box set.

As for "Dollhouse" I already got my plans to watch it live. Heck, it is even TiVod!!!

:)

This is fantastic. I can just sit back and watch you reply to your own posts :-) I want to see you replying to your own comments too ;-) For bonus points use two different icons (ideally one being a mirror of the other) and express opposite viewpoints ;-)

I have this image of you standing on the Ross Ice Shelf with a hair dryer and extension cord, cackling madly.

We did so watch it when it was on tv! They cancelled it because the sets were too expensive and because they cancel ALL the best shows!

American TV is quite funny - take the whole Family Guy debacle.
I think they just cancel shows to see what kind of response they get.

Oh come on, it's a show that requires Eliza Dushku to show acting range; it's going to be appalling.

However hot she is.

And it's not like SMG didn't have the charisma of a lump of wood...

...What? Did you watch Buffy?

Gave Firefly a good chance, never liked it. The network moved it around, never giving it a solid time/day location to build its audience.

Pretty much anything scientifictional put on TV will gain a core group that thinks it's the best thing ever. Said core group for Firefly wasn't very large.

My Partner was in the states at the time it was on tv. She was an avid Buffy watcher and exactly the target audience for the show. She never heard anything about it until it was on DVD. So I suspect there was a lot of bad advertising in there as well.

I thought it was the best TV ever, and I don't watch sci-fi much.
