Fun and games with Livejournal
Dec. 31st, 2008 11:53 amBah! Wasted about three hours while writing an LJ client because while livejournal will take an md5 hashed password in either upper or lower case, when you're adding in the challenge and sending the hash of that it suddenly insists that it has to be in lower case. Not that it tells you - you just get told your password is wrong...

I more or less always use it for... well, writing things, nowadays, and think it is rather neat - just very, very simple, I don't think you can check your html or anything, and saves what you're doing often and unobtrusively.

Date: 2008-12-31 12:51 pm (UTC)I finally bought a new laptop, kept coming back to the same one as you got - HP have the build quality, and I could get higher specs for same price but were things like Acer and Fujitsu which can both be flaky. In the end however bit the bullet and decided I'd pay just over the £400 mark and get one with dedicated GFX which gives me HDMI output as well as blu-ray drive(which I don't really need). Still trying to convince myself the extra £49 was worth it as your spec would probably meet all my requirements(I have problems surrounding whether Spore will run on integrated GFX as it seems to have high restrictions for playability and won't run on my current laptop with integrated gfx). I got the G70-120EA, going to pick it up on way home from work tonight. Did you keep Vista or roll back to XP?
