what, how is that even possible without at the very least a ultrasound. to get the damn thing she'd have to cut through herself, which whilst posible (though they make reference to any injuries on the mother, deliberately?) you'd then have to know where the umblical cord was!!!

so if she managed all that, i would have thought sectioning as danger to self and others would have been more appropriate.

A condition sometimes occurs called umbilical cord prolapse, when at least part of the cord emerges from the birth canal while the fetus remains in the womb.
