I cringed a bit at the Pumpkins song, but this was mainly because it was the song they recorded for the "Batman and Robin" soundtrack! It's not going to be in the film. Everything else, awesome.

The trailer gives me hope for the film, but my little worried bit in the back of my brain knows there will be things that get on my nerves when I finally see it.
It will still be a film worth watching though but will be pushing anyone who hasn't read it by the time they have seen it to read the original and wonder - hollywood wishes its writers were as good.

Well, the good news is that the director is the guy who made "300", as I understand it, almost shot-by-shot for the comic book. So I reckon it's going to be very, very faithful.

It's been a long time since I read that. I wonder if I should go back and refresh my memory, or go see it with a fairly fresh perspective (so I'm not doing that shot-for-shot mental comparison). The trailer looked awesome, and I had no problem with the choice of music.
