octopoid_horror's 30th birthday was this evening, and he rented a bar for the evening - and then dj'd the whole thing. Which was great fun, because I got to dance to everything from Jesus Built My Hot-Rod to Wannabe, via I Think We're Alone Now and Call The Ships To Port. Oh, and finishing with Still Alive (the song from Portal). I'd like to congratulate him on a fantastic setlist - especially as I'm sure he actually hates at least four of the tracks he played - but knew that his friends would thoroughly enjoy dancing to them.

Wandered home afterwards with tisme (who's borrowing some british comedy to show to a visiting American friend), while is_not_well went on to Ascension to keep dancing. I have 51 unread emails, all of which will have to wait until tomorrow for me to read. I hope you lot are being polite!

Off to bed now with Order Of The Stick volume 2 - sleep well y'all.

It is physically impossible to dance to Jesus built my Hot rod without looking like you're having a fit, or collapsing half way through seeing as its around 5 minutes long...just what I remember from the old Jukebox nights...
