The banana-the atheist's nightmare.

Note that the banana:

1. Is shaped for human hand
2. Has non-slip surface
3. Has outward indicators of inward content:
4. Green-too early,
5. Yellow-just right,
6. Black-too late.
7. Has a tab for removal of wrapper
8. Is perforated on wrapper
9. Bio-degradable wrapper
10. Is shaped for human mouth
11. Has a point at top for ease of entry
12. Is pleasing to taste buds
13. Is curved towards the face to make eating process easy

:-)

Apparently the variety of banana (Gros Michel) that was almost universal before 1950 was sweeter, nicer and wasn't bitter when underripe. Shame the fungus killed it.

Are you still a very occasional drinker? (my eternal aim).

Quite the opposite from me then :-) Sober Kirsty doesn't really appreciate hanging with drunks and can be a bit serious. Drunk Kirsty will talk to anybody.

Sigh. The problem with sensible drinking (as opposed to insensible drinking!) is that it is just too damn little. I can't make 3 glasses of wine last all night (say 4-5 hours), I really can't. And that's all I should ever drink or it all goes horribly alcoholic....

Hmmm. Makes me wonder if this is some sort of evil atheist plot.

Aha! Point 13 is not going to be correct forever. Supermarkets prefer to stock straight(er) bananas for ease of putting out on the shelves/displays. So bananas are being bred with straightness. Strange but True!

Perhaps bananas and primates co-evolved such that banana plants that produced curvy, tasty, easy-to-get-into bananas were valued and protected by things with hands, whilst nasty banana plants with sticky, yucky friut and spikes were abhorred?
