Here be nerdcore
Here is the nerdiest collection of nerddom that you'll likely ever see. In which people relate, nay compete over, their nerdiest ever moments.
So, here's mine:
When I was 13-ish (give or take - it was a while back, so the details are fuzzy in my brain) I was obsessed by Heinlein. My parents had a load of his books, and I set about filling in the gaps in their collection. I must have read most of them at least three times.
One of my brothers noticed this, and I told them that I'd read them so much that I could identify any of them from minor details. I bet that given a couple of sentences, with no character names, I could tell them which book it was.
So they grabbed a book and tried me. And I got it. And another. I got that too. And they went through seven books before giving up.
My name is Andrew Ducker, and I was a complete Heinlein Nerd :->

I confess that I am such an obsessive about The Zombie Hunters web comic (www.thezombiehunters.com) that I set up a PayPal account specifically in order to buy badges in support of it.
I am Opus Fluke, ARC Support Staff and Official Forum Crazy.

I haven't read Job in _years_. I wonder if it's still any good.

Someone bought me the Buffy quizbook for Christmas and I recall one night people decided to ask me questions and I knew the answers to every single one, even the really obscure stuff. I was a complete Buffy nerd.

Wait, I was mailed a copy of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by someone I met on IRC (#dl-local? #gb? I forget) trying to explain his non-monogomous relationship. I swear I have a nerdiest moment but like f*ck I can remember them. I can name any bird in the Collin's guide from the first few lines of the description, but I don't think that's quite what you mean!

This happens several times a month at least.
Can't remember books in that detail (until I unintentionally start to reread them).
I have read all of Heinlein, Asimov, E.E Doc and many other authors.
Caution: If you decide to read all of Asimovs work it could take a very long time (about 500 books) - I remember him admitting he was never very far from his typewriter, so wrote every day for decades (and he wrote pretty fast). Some of his science books are very good.
Andy Test.
Name that book in one !
