Fell asleep listening to winds battering the window - which could only have been improved by thunder and heavy rain, my favourite night time music.

Ed and Padmini had returned a few minutes before, and told me that when they crossed the park on the way back the wind damn near knocked them off their feet.

And apparently on Saturday night the winds in the South of England and Wales reached close to 100MPH.

It's calmed down a bit, but I'm not sure I want to venture out to work in this...

Saturday night was epically windy down here. I woke up, thought hmm, rain soon then, and in a couple of hours there was...

all over by 9am Sunday.

I skipped cycling to work in favour of the bus this morning - didn't fancy being blown over. This level of windiness is spectacular down on the shore, but damn my ears were ringing from it.

Hmm I recognise this conversation. Reminds me of a local historian I used to know. The running joke with him is a passing conversation with him always ends up published in a book.
