Peterhead is a key location for that interconnector IIRC.

There's a big gas plant at Peterhead - meant to soak up lots of the North Sea gas - but it's always been at the wrong end of the UK so had caused congestion issues and seems to have contrained off quite a lot.

Another way of thinking about that cable is that it enables the owners of that CCGT to run their power plant at closer to standard capacity factors.

I would not want to have sex with anyone before a first date because I would not want to have sex with someone I didn’t know. Other approaches available for different people!
