I'd want to know whether some of those people without record players are answering the question somewhat literally and actually have those laser/computer record players that don't touch the record.

As far as I can tell, there is only one company that makes those, they make them to order, and they charge about $16,000 for them.

So maybe one or two? But definitely not a number that's going to sway the overall count in a noticeable manner!

Looks like I was wrong. The tech must be harder than it souonds.

I'm curious. It's possible that there's so little interest in them that it wasn't worth investing in bringing the price down.
