Being a reluctantly-admitted disabled person myself, I was struck most by her confession that she is struggling with her identity and hopes to heal back to "normal." As I know it is pointless to explain there is no such possibility (or that it is very unlikely) I merely agreed that identity is tricky when you're ill.
