Have you ever mapped the number of doom tags per day as a proportion of the overall number of links per day, over time? It would be interesting to see if there are trends.

5 It's certainly observable that traits and conduct that are valued and rewarded, or at least tolerated in one society or social milieu would be regarded as abnormal in other societies that prioritise other qualities and behaviours.

1. My main boss told me today that she has the long covid. She is hooked up with a clinic for same but explained it to me both for my support and to explain why she is so seldom physically present in the office.

Being a reluctantly-admitted disabled person myself, I was struck most by her confession that she is struggling with her identity and hopes to heal back to "normal." As I know it is pointless to explain there is no such possibility (or that it is very unlikely) I merely agreed that identity is tricky when you're ill.
