I'm not surprised the New IRA are saying that Brexit is making it easier for them to recruit.

Firstly, it probably is given that the peace accord is largely believed to rest on a free movement area covering both Eire and NI.

Secondly, it probably suits the New IRA to be seen as an organiation that is recruiting. It would look bad if they said they'd not seen any new customers. It's not like their membership list is available to audit.

Autism

Agh. The article needs to mention why half of people involved hate Simon Baron-Cohen before quoting him, whether what he's saying is reasonable or not.

I'm not sure I know enough to be able to say anything about what the article is saying, but on similar, appropriately incredibly heated, disagreements, it seemed like a major difference of approach was that things most people consider bad, are considered by the first group to be a part of the person's autism, but are considered by the second group to be completely separate, at most correlated (as many other good, neutral or negative traits can be correlated with each other), and more likely, purely a product of having been raised without an environment suitable to what the person needs. Most people I know who know anything about it are firmly in the second camp, and I assume they're right, but I haven't heard a rebuttal from that pov so I can't say for sure there's no counter-evidence.

How do we know when we've fallen in love?

First we need to know what we mean by it, I'm still not sure most people agree.

So how come biodegradable bags degrade into fragments instantly if you try to keep things in them under the bed? Surely that is a less hostile environment than the ocean? Dry, for starters.
