I've never had a go of an e-reader, so I can't say, but my gut feeling is that I'd probably agree with you.

Though the convenience of being able to carry dozens of books...

Mind you, to be honest, the main thing that makes me feel as if I might want an ebook reader, beyond the initial cool technology thing, is mostly because part of my brain is going 'Ooooh, I wonder how many torrents there are for books!'

So, yeah. I can see piracy being a major problem.
