I actually feel slightly bad at using "Sky-father" there, as I'm not trying to make general religious readers feel offended. I was more feeling that it summed up the approach of the person in the article.

Oh, from a different thread. Rewriting the link text itself counts as commenting on it; I tend to use the sites title and add commentary, but your approach is definitely fine ;-)

I know! WTF? I have pretty much no interest in a RTD Dr Who movie. Until I see a press release by the BBC I'm keeping my fingers in my ears and pretending it's not happening.

My parents are Zen Buddhists (well, Dad's now an atheist, but he still meditates) and big fans of the silent retreat. I've been wanting to do one for years.

So, I have an LJ Friend who has a theory:

James Bond is a Time Lord.

Think it over. He changes his looks and personality, but not his identity, every few years. He doesn't age. He's got lots of nifty gadgets to play around with.
