Tired

I'm down in Kent to do some work (haveta pay the bills and all that). Apologies for the lack of updates recently, but what with moving house and the Fringe I've been ubertired.

Speaking of ubterired, I was up at 6am to catch the train to Kent. Seeing as I got to sleep around 3:45, my brain isn't operating too well, even though I slept intermittently all the way from Edinburgh to Peterborough.

Oh, and a load of email is sitting in Scotland, so if I've miserably failed to email you in the last week, then you're gonna have to wait another week and a half for me to be back in Scotland again. Sorry.

Troubling Times

In other news, I'm chatting to Adam on MSN, who has this to say:

well, the catholics from the other side of the road are throwing rocks, stones, fireworks, and blast-bombs at the protestants on this side of the road

they've seriously injured a policeman

Aah. Door locked, hiding under bed?
Adam says:
and were throwing stones at our house earlier.
Adam says:
I'm very very glad that there's a riot bar on our door.
Adam says:
I can see a TV crew
Adam says:
and about 20 police landrovers
Adam says:
maybe 60 police with riot shields
Adam says:
and out of my field of vision, there are about 200 rioters on my left, and right
Andy says:
When are you moving? And how often do the fuckwits do this kind of thing?
Adam says:
well, not that regularly.
Adam says:
jesus, there's another ambulance moving in
Adam says:
it's moving through the police line. one of them must be fucked.
Andy says:
How long has it been going on?
Adam says:
well, it's quietened down a lot
Adam says:
but it had about 5 minutes of intensity, followed by some milling round, and then fireworks and a blast bomb coming from the crowd

I hope that as many of you as possible aren't living in countries that are regularly violated by bigoted idiots terrorising the general population. Adam, sadly, is in Belfast. You'll find his post on the evening here.
