Reading while in the smallest room - particularly when it's the only smallest room in the dwelling, and when there are other people in the dwelling who might want to use that room - are reserved a special place in Hell stuck behind all the people who stand on the left on public escalators*


*unless they're Japanese. Then it's forgivable.

But surely this only applies if it actually makes people stay in there longer? If the amount of time spent doesn't change, then what does it matter if something is done to pass the time?

Then you're reaching the stage where you're already spending too long. At the risk of derailing, what the Hell takes so long?

There is no "too long" unless someone else needs to get in there.

Well, that's entirely subjective and dependent on the cold air tolerance of one's bum.

But as the person who's always the one who needs to get in there, I still have constantly failed to imagine what can take half an hour upwards.

What the hell do people DO in there? Eat more fibre or fat or whatever gets ya going....

I'm never more than a minute. Maybe 2 at the absolute most.

It's a mystery to me, it really is...

You know about my ongoing unknown gastric condition, right? If at some point any doctor can figure out what the issue is maybe I won't have issues going, but trust me, I do.

And also, given that I know I have some issues, I never object to someone banging the door and asking if I can speed up, I sometimes have to go back afterwards but...
