Do me a favour?

If you know anyone who was in favour of the recent strikes against Italian workers, have them read this.

Why would I be putting up a link that was pro-strike?

Apologies if that sounded harsher than I intended, but really, I'd have thought you could have made a more than educated guess!

The group is criticising the management/executives decisions to play one nationality of worker off against another. Makes for an interesting read.

The union are UNITE, by the way, who are notorious for striking.

They apparently used a variety of underhanded tactics, and debatable claims while the Grangemouth claim was ongoing to undermine the position of the oil companies, and ultimately got the payout they wanted. I don't trust them.

I have to be careful what I say, but regarding a union at my work (which may or may not be the same one) My boss is heavily involved in our negotiations - I believe that when you add up everything in their recent wage claim, factoring in breaks, holidays etc, they are asking for a 31% pay raise for workers who are already seriously overpaid.
