Because sometimes you have to know these things

In response to my previous post, [livejournal.com profile] octopoid_horror posted a link.
He mentioned that there were no photos until the very end - and even then you have to click on the links, so you can't see anything by accident. Up until that point it's just text.

It turned out I'd read the article before, but was unable to resist the urge to read it all again.

I didn't, however, click on the links. You'd have to pay me quite a lot of money to make me do that.

Which has me wondering what kind of threshholds other people have...

It is worth noting that the link is amazing due to the demonstration of just what money can buy you.

It's actually the story that intrigued me - that people on the forum gave money, then thought "oh, we have been scammed!" and then the reality hit, and there was even the noticeboard with SA slogans in the background of the video!

You linked directly to Page 4, you sick fcuk. ;}P>

Um. People eating poo. I hope they got paid well. People eat worse things. Meh.

Dude, I am a child of the internet generation. I have actually watched swap.avi, I've made a 2 girls 1 cup reaction video, I've seen the pain series countless times and browsed rotten.com from the age of 14: nothing fazes me these days. I'm completely desensitized. Which is quite disturbing, come to think of it.

{Not to say that nothing affects me, war images and such do. Obviously I'm not completely dead inside yet...}

[identity profile] robhu.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. My thoughts exactly.

[identity profile] figg.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Nothing fazes me".

Apart from being reminded of where you are a child of the internet :)

[identity profile] seph-hazard.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I went straight through, without reading. I clicked on all the links. "Ahh well", I thought. "Whatever turns you on".

Then I read the text. Page four of the text, the description of the film, actually made me gag, despite the fact that the stills had provoked no reaction.

I wonder what that says about me?

You are using a Braille terminal.

[identity profile] daisyflip.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
I did exactly the same thing. I think it was the strange smiles that made me feel most ill but, you know whatever floats your boat... (or, I suppose, whatever floats on your boat then vomits in your mouth...)

I did the go-to-the-end-and-click thing. and the "ahh well".

Then I read the text.

I didn't gag, though. I did the Roger Moore / Mr Spock thing with my eyebrow. And the "ahh well" again.

I wonder what that says about me?

[identity profile] surliminal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
But I stopped cos I got bored!

[identity profile] captainlucy.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Is it bad that I was reading page 4 and (very quietly) laughing my tits off? Obviously not at what was being described, but rather the way it was being described. Gems such as "...like mother birds that have absent-mindedly built their nests in the skim tanks of a waste treatment plant" or "...Their simian brains are insufficient for the task of comprehending their transgressions against Odin. I want to dash their heads open with a rock".

Truly, this writer has suffered for his art, and has produced entertainment far greater than that which he has reviewed.

For some reason, despite being near impossible to phase in most other ways, unmoved by the heaviest of BDSM, vorephilia or bestiality, and being fascinated by images of extreme body modification, horrific wounds, nasty disfigurements, etc etc, there's just something about coprophilia and ... whatever the equivalent is involving urine... that I just don't want to deal with on any level, not even in a can't-not-look way.

This might be seen as particularly curious given my complete comfort with and indeed active enjoyment of every other aspect of the human body and the various fluids it produces (even menstrual blood and semen, though not my favouritest things, don't particularly bother me).

Oh, except vomit. But if there's a fetish involving vomit, I just don't want to know.

God, there is, isn't there? There must be. I so wish I hadn't even thought of that.

Rule number 34 of the internet: if it exists, there is porn of it.

Except Elizabeth/Jane Bennet Austen Slash. That, I have been unable to find.

[identity profile] accordingly.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Rule number 35: if it doesn't exist, you have to create it.

[identity profile] marrog.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Nice try.

[identity profile] pickwick.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
*nods* My workmate didn't believe this, so I made him read Dalziel/ Pascoe slash.

[identity profile] atreic.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
*snarf* Which reminds me, I have lost the link for the great Portal poster of someone pouring coffee. Anyone know what I'm talking about / where it is?

Children and small pets are very different things...

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
argh there is and I used to drum in a band many many years ago that had a song about it..

I remember reading somewhere someone quoting someone else saying that there are "out" holes and there are "in" holes and never get the two confused.

[identity profile] marrog.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
A catchphrase between myself and my friend Katie is the call "It's an out hole!" directed at her now-husband. I have not enquired as to whether this is still the case for them.

What're you doing for lunch today?

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:05 am (UTC)(link)
Also, tbf, as much as it turns my stomach, at least scat got me over Luanne when I found out she'd been sleeping around without telling me. "Waah, my heart is broken, woe is me - really? scat orgies? Eww, gross."

So yes, lunch. I am doing nowt, do you fancy entertaining me with food? Or going somewhere? Or coming here?

[identity profile] marrog.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Why don't we Lunch Out?

If you're broke I'll sub you.

Advocates maybe? Or would you prefer somewhere else?

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:07 am (UTC)(link)
No, I have monies now! Advocates would be great. 1pm?

[identity profile] marrog.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
In all fairness the only reason I'm awake right now is because my SO's husband is off on a business trip for most of the rest of the week and last night PST was their last evening together.

How much angst would you be prepared to put up with to have your lunch free?

Heyguesswhat?

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
oo I have never had Nepalese. We should go there when I get my first proper grown up paycheque!

[identity profile] pickwick.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
I skimmed bits of the article because it was a bit flowery, but the last page morbidly fascinated me enough to click the links. Only the last two were at all disturbing, and even then it looked more like chocolate body paint..I suspect the video would be significantly ickier.

[identity profile] pickwick.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
It's interesting that so far, everyone who clicked on any links clicked on them all.

[identity profile] skington.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
If you'd made it all the way to page 4, and wondered "do I want to see any of this", I suspect you'd have played it safe and not clicked on anything.

Also, two girls one cup is, I understand, much worse than, say, goatse.cx or tubgirl.com. (I'm one of those that didn't click so I don't know.)

[identity profile] lilitufire.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Well, when I say read page 4, I skipped the video description, because there's only so much I want to know about a video of poo porn, but did laugh at the review summary at the end. :)

[identity profile] figg.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Just so you know, it's the same production company behind swap.avi and 2girls1cup.

[identity profile] poisonduk.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
I used to whole-heartedly and naively click on everything as I thought it was all of interest to someone, however a certain friend of yours stopped that after his posting a few weeks ago warning me not to search for a term on google, which despite his warnings in flashing lights, with big Stars and Neon appendages screaming 'Yes Jackie, just don't do it'. I now no longer do something out of interest....

The best forum sig I ever read

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
was "Don't google gniger!"

Re: The best forum sig I ever read

[identity profile] henriksdal.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 11:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no! I just checked and it no longer works.

[identity profile] martling.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 10:38 am (UTC)(link)
I read up to the start of page 4, then skipped the blow-by-blow once the shitting started and jumped to the commentary at the end.

Because I have been on the internet long enough to know that there are things to wish you hadn't seen. So I have yet to see this, or 2girls1cup, and intend to keep it that way.
