So, when I was a kid, my dad took me to see Gremlins. I think I was... oh, 6 or 7, depending on what time of year it came out.
Then came the nightmares. A year of recurrent nightmares that woke me up screaming every few nights.
I mention this because the nightmare was remarkably similar to that icon. Except it was Gizmo, and Spike came out of his mouth, and then Gizmo came out of Spike's mouth, ad infinitum.
The Cyberman have really only been in a couple of good stories in 40 years (I can think of maybe 3; 'Tomb of the Cyberman', 'The 5 Doctors' and arguably 'Earthshock'). The new series has its work cut out for it, even before it gets to Borg comparisons. What more can be said about them?
