Who?

I was pointed to a Dr Who remix site, which has a variety of different mixes of the opening title music.  Two of them stand out:

This mix takes you from the very first version of the titles all the way through to the new series, highlighting how much it's changed with the fashions of the times, this very silly version which uses a William Hartnell sample to good effect and best of all, this one answers the frequently-asked question "What if Michael Nyman had been asked to write the Dr Who title music?".

Dude. Finally, your LJ has a purpose. :D

I'm about to go watch the final ep. YEEEE.

Bollocks!

But I had enough guff from St ("those wheels would never work") to last me the week. ;)

Oh, I know they had it on Top Gear.

He had a problem with it bashing through walls.

Mostly, he's turning into a grumpy old codger.

Often. I worry when people aren't carried by movies. Where's the joy?

Well, that's my Sunday out the window.

Hehee, that last doctor who OWNED! And I love that first remix too :D.

Though I'm not quite sure who / what inhabited / became / entered rose at the end of it. And I don't remember the Dalek god / emperor either....but it was still great nonetheless!

Was that 'Power of' or 'Evil of' the Daleks? Are you certain it was Emperor rather than Supreme (who most recently was Davros)? Can't find my book, heh.

Forget the magical glove compartment of arseness. The drama was much better than the plotting. I can live with it.

It was still 1000 times better than that Buffy finale. ;-)

I sort of like the Daleks getting religion. I'm not totally sold on yet another race using humans as biomass (I know the Daleks have been doing that since Colin Baker, but still..). I'd rather that was a cyberman-only thing.

Yup, I had my serials wrong. 'Power' was the first Troughton story, and I recalled the Emperor being in one of the two Troughton Dalek adventures. See my LJ for a summary. It seems to fit in quite nicely.

I was nowt but two long protein chains while the last series was being broadcast :(. Didn't even see them then, either....

And I know what you mean :D. It was great - I can't complain really :D. I just hope it doesn't become the usual season finale :P.
