I think i get amazing healthcare compared to the UK. I landed on my elbow rollerblading today and I got x-rayed within 15 mins at the ER and saw a doc within 40 minutes. I'm not rich although my salary is pretty decent and i have company health care. The bizzare thing was that the doctor seeing me was english. She said that the standard of living here is higher and pay is much better.
Also when I found a lump in my breast a few weeks ago, I was seen the next day for ultrasound and a mammogram and given my results within 24 hours of first seeing my GP.
I was in the UK. I moved to the US about 13 weeks ago. My current visa lasts until October 2008, but I think it will be a while yet before I know if I want to stay here for that long. I'd like to work in Japan and Australia at some point, but I may end up returning to the UK first.

Fat chance.
And in all likelihood, Congress will just give the FCC the ability to control our TV sets and computers.
