Geek Lust

I really fancy a Netgear MP101 Wireless MP3 player - you can plug it in in the kitchen (or living room, or wherever) and it will stream music from your PC.

However, my flat isn't really big enough to justify it. Which leave me wanting something I have no real use for.

Hmm, maybe if I move my PC into my bedroom I can justify it. Ooh, in which case I could possibly get a MediaMVP and the GBPVR software to go with it.

Mmmmm, geekery.

I could do that anyway - this streams it from the PC to the device (which is then attached to a TV or stereo or headphones).

How do the other ones have DRM? I send signals from my PC to the boxes and they play music. My music isn't locked up in any way, that I can see. I mean, sure, they use some kind of proprietary method to get music from my PC to the box, but as long as they play MP3s, I'm happy.
