WikiFixed

After the 40th time that my wiki got defaced by spammers I finally got around to sorting it out - it's now password protected. It sucks having to do that, but I can't be arsed checking it daily to make sure some idiot spammer hasn't covered the main page with adverts for vicodin. Thankfully security took about 30 seconds to sort out.

Should anyone want to set up a Wiki of their own, I fully endorse UseMod.

Hee.

Ah, the sign of the times when one has to pass protect a tool that promotes democratic usage. Sort of like the democracy that sometimes the Republic of America claims.

For keeping personal information at home on my LAN I've downloaded (but not yet installed) MediaWiki the engine used by Wikipedia as I'm quite impressed by the way their Wiki seems to work.

Did / do you want people to be able to edit your wiki?

I believe MediaWiki allows you to 'watch' particular wiki entries (possibly the whole wiki) so that you are notified of changes - which seems to me to be quite useful.
