Test Crosspost

Dreamwidth have their cross-poster up and running (in alpha), so I'm doing a test post.

You won't be able to comment on it on LJ, but you will be able to comment on it  on Dreamwidth, using your LJ URL as an OpenID.

(And OpenID is a URL that can confirm that you are who you say you are - so nobody else can claim to be andrewducker.livejournal.com for instance)

It is only in alpha ...

I can't currently work out how to do it, anyhow - pointers?

Oh yes, hope remains.

Go to manage account and then other sites. It's fairly obvious from there. Once you've done that you get ticky boxes at the bottom of the posting page.

Is it worth suggesting that it's added for communities? I know it would be more complex to code, because you'd have to check that the user had permission to post to that community on both sides, but I think it would be possible.
