Strange Dream

I left the airport, heading for a training session of some kind, only to realise that I didnt have the address on me. Then I remembered it was written in my hand luggage, but I'd left that in the airport. So I turned round to head back into the airport, and couldn't find the door. I was just wondering how I was going to manage to do _anything_, because my phone battery had gone dead, leaving me unable to contact anyone (and not speaking the local language, which I think was French), when I woke up.

Lost, alone, unable to communicate. Not a good way to start the day.

I've been playing Ultima Online on a russian shard lately with very few english speaking people on it. You'd be surprised how much you learn about communication. A simple "english" response to someone trying to speak their native language to you, a smile or just certain actions can do the trick pretty effectively.
