Right, I got an FTP server set up (U-Serv), got the router upgraded, got the firewall working and set permissions up properly for anonymous users (so that they can send me files, but not download any).

The reasons for which will become clear shortly.

I use a ftp server called filezilla, an open source projevct on source forge..

I have issues with afdding new users however..

does this one you have set up, have a file that manages the users, or is it only done via the UI??

The UI.

It does, however, have an extension mechanism. If you can write DLLs in C, you can write your own code that tells it what users are and aren't allowed to do...

Oooh, it can store information in the registry, but I don't know how easy it would be to tell it that new information had been added.
