Misinfo a go-go

Saddam was captured by Kurds not by the US.

Back to playing the "Who is saying what, and why?" game.

Well, damn. Not surprised, but...I don't know. It merits more than a *yawn*, at least for me.

The President said: "The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq. The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force."

I know, you say, "you're surprised that there was Spin?" And I'm not, really. But, there's a line between spin and outright lying, and this administration has (IMHO) consistantly crossed that line. And even though it's consistant, it's a slap in the face every time it happens.

One would think that someone would care about that line. Have we grown that cynical, or that apathetic?

I don't know about grown, but I've always been pretty hard to beat on both those counts. Well, maybe not always, but I was regularly being called cynical by the time I was about 11. Apathy, now that *is* one of my natural talents :-)
