Aaaaaaggghhh!!!

Hal phoned me at 9:00, telling me that he had a spare ticket to the midnight showing of ROTK tonight. And I told him that I was too tired to go, had to be up early and would find someone else to go with him.

I'm going to see it next week. I have a lot of work to do. I need the sleep or I'll be shit in work and hate every minute of it.

Last year I'd have said "Hell yeah!" and jumped in a taxi.

I feel more responsible and more reasonable.

But I'm not sure how good a thing that is.

Heh heh

Well, I may be optimistic here, but I think you might have a couple of days, perhaps even a week to see it on the "big screen" before it goes to video.

IME, I've never found those to be particularly positive or desirable changes and that tendencies towards becoming this way should always be fought against when one is trying to have a rich and full life.

Don't you just hate growing up? The way you can no longer gloss over the consequences. I'm sure you'll be very proud of yourself when you're lying awake in the small hours thinking "I could be at the cinema now".

But realistically, it's probably a good thing.

*laugh*

He did _just_ that. 1am, we both look at the clock and say 'You could be looking at Viggo now....'

He was snoring five seconds later.
