I'm vividly reminded of my own time as a physics major. I was very pleased when I cut that back to a minor and changed my majors to history and math. In High School, my chemistry teacher strongly recommended that I take the chem AP. He suggested that not only was I bright enough to do well, but that in most colleges passing it also got me out of the labs and he knew what a menace I was in any lab setting. I'm an excellent cook, but I should never be let near any physics or chem lab.
