I can't read the article since I'm not a subscriber, but I find all the hype over low-carb diets to be trumpeting the obvious. Of course refined flour and sugar is bad for you. Crazy hippie vegetarians have been saying that since the sixties, but no one listened when it was just crazy hippies saying so. That doesn't mean that all carbohydrates are bad for you, nor does it mean that all other foods are automatically good.
Yeah, I know. As a matter of policy, I don't do that -- I figure I could spend the same amount of time reading a novel, and I wouldn't have to watch an ad in order to read the novel.
I can give you the rundown on what Kirsty knows about metabolism/human biochem as related to diet if you really want sometime. I know WAY too much abotu this stuff.
