Last Friday ever of dropping her off at school and him off at nursery!

Off to the Highland Show this afternoon. Going to be 28 degrees, so we'll all probably burst into flames.

Northerners... I remember we drove from San Jose to Fairbanks, and it was 26, and we told the locals, "oh, it's warm here!", and they said "we're dying from the heat!"

It's also very humid, and the buildings are all designed to keep heat in.

28 is actually fine, so long as I'm not standing in direct sunlight for too long. Over 30 and older people start dying.

My house here in Germany does great. At least downstairs. I think the 30cm thick clay between the (mostly unused) upstairs with uninsulated roof and downstairs keeps everything below 20 almost always even if it's over 30 outside. It maintains 10C above ambient in winter too (the clay stores the heat really well)

It was 29 at the boat last weekend and my steel hand tools got too hot use when I accidentally left them in the sun.
