Re: 1. I know it is possible to ask for PINs to be reassigned to something you personally find more memorable, but it's an extra step/hassle to do that, so I always just stick with the randomly assigned PIN I've been sent. Why don't most people do this?

I've changed the PIN on my two debit cards to be the same. As otherwise I couldn't remember them both.
