Much as I loathe and abominate Elon Musk, being able to tell pretty much anyone to "go fuck themselves" is a lot of the point of being one of the richest people on the planet.

Oh absolutely. But if he wanted to keep Twitter running, and having that be a status thing for him, then doing so in a way that didn't piss people off might be a good idea.

nah. I am pretty sure that Twitter is only worth it to him as a status symbol if he gets to do exactly as he wants with it. if anyone else is "telling him what to do" then it doesnt fit his use case.

SO it will go under becasue governments / EU / law etc WILL tell him what to do.
