They previously announced they would delete accounts that didn't login. The last rumor was that 1 year of inactivity might qualify for deletion. Apparently the rapid loss of accounts worried them, because now they're forcing people to login to interact with their platform at all. I see this requirement was mentioned up to 2 years ago, but only in the last few days/weeks has it affected me. Which makes Twitter.com ineffective as a news/sharing platform.
Instagram and Tiktok both allow you to have limited views without logging on. Which is a large part of why I don't have an Instagram or Tiktok account. If I wasn't already on Twitter, this would reduce the chances of me signing up.
I think that must have happened within the last couple of days. I'm sure Twitter links worked for me earlier this week, but I agree that now they don't – following that link, I get nothing but a login prompt.
(And I don't even have a Twitter account in the first place to hold my nose and use. And certainly don't feel like making one at this stage!)
Stop! Stop! Stop trying to confuse me with facts and research. Every good Victorian man knows women are too weak to hunt, and if I can't prove that from my arm chair here at the club...
2. I'd rather suspected this, given the performance of women in endurance events (especially the ultra ultra stuff). It seemed likely to me that this would be a useful trait for hunters in hunter-gatherer societies. It's nice to see it confirmed by research.
