Depends on the lesbian- my maid of honour at my wedding (an old friend) is one such.

I agree that stereotyping lesbians as transphobic is wrong (both factually and morally), but there are two particular strands of transphobia which I've only ever been aware of coming from the lesbian community, because they wouldn't really make sense coming from anywhere else, and I think it is legitimate to talk about those strands as problems specific to (some) lesbian communities.

The first, which I obviously only know about second hand, so don't really feel qualified to talk about, is the "cotton ceiling" and the responses to it as a concept. The second, which I have been on the sticky end of, is the idea of "butch flight", where straight and bi trans men are portrayed as somehow betraying the lesbian community by transitioning.

Hmm. The only TERF I met was a lesbian, but that's too small a sample size to draw any conclusions. I guess maybe people with experience of gender issues who are outspoken might speak up more? And a vocal minority might trigger the same sort of bias that leads to the opinion that 'women are dominating the discussion' at 30% of talk time.
