1. Naturally, the US NRA and their Canadian cousins, the NFA, are in high dudgeon about this. So are the federal Conservatives. Trudeau does a thing that makes sense in this context, they're gonna accuse him of mass murder and tyranny as if we were in the States.

2. It is good to see companies that use child labour get their comeuppances. Very good.

3. I believe Xi has purged Hu! We should not have been surprised to see this. In fact, I think it's been coming for years.

The Hu thing really is interesting. I think it's more for signal. "Look I'm not afraid to get myself dirty with the old man."

I can't believe Hu posed much of a threat, except maybe he was the last remaining possible figurehead? Wonder what was happening behind scenes to force this.

Good idea, I am glad you did so.

It's also a legal requirement for Canadian companies to not use such sources (although lots of Canadian companies with US-based headquarters, including those owned by Warren Buffett, seem to think that doesn't apply to them).

I like Canada's attempt to limit handguns. I am curious how this will affect 3D printer 'ghost' guns.

They're tricky to make, time consuming, and fragile. I don't see them being a major problem - and I'm not aware of them being one so far.
