I may be being too US-centric, but I think many powers that be want fascism back with Herr Trump and his MAGA crowd, starting with the US midterm elections coming up any day now real soon. They always think they're the safe power behind the throne at least until the blade comes down and their heads come off.

I think some of these people figure on "No Dictatorships Without Another Great Depression First" still holding true, because it worked so well for so long for Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo(?)...

The latter, they believe, will guarantee them the means to install the former. I'm convinced of such people holding such mindsets existing.
