3. For some reason or other, those books never really got my attention beyond just noticing their existence, and their popularity in those days before Rowling revealed her worse aspects. I cannot help but think I dodged a cultural "bullet" there.

3) I enjoyed the HP books. I think they're fun, albeit with issues. I got very into them, and I don't regret that. I just don't value any work of fiction above the anguish caused to real people.
1) Someone on a reality TV show basically said something similar. She *liked* holding a grudge and judging people.
