BTW, embeds don't seem to work in my browsers (firefox, either on Windows or Linux), just seeing a broken image placeholder; and the "Original is here" link won't show me anything unless I create an Instagram account. "Open Image in New Tab" works, however.

How odd. It works for me, at least for a few days (which is how long the Instagram CDN links work for).

I'm on Firefox on Windows.

Got any weird extensions? Does the developer console work for you.

hmm. Might be the Facebook-container stuff that FF ships with. Though I thought that just loaded things but within an insulated environment with respect to cookies, referers etc.
